Jocelyn Reeder, MD

photo TV SHOW GUEST 03.04.2014 Jocelyn (Jo) Reeder is the Site Director for Blue Ridge PACE (Program of All-inclusive Care of the Elderly) which is a new facility opening in Charlottesville. PACE provides community based comprehensive integrated care to the frail elderly. PACE is funded through Medicare and Medicaid and Blue Ridge PACE is a joint venture between UVA, JABA and Riverside Health System.
Jo joined Blue Ridge PACE in January of this year; prior to that she was the Rehabilitation Manager for Continuum Home Health Care. Jo graduated as a Physiotherapist in 1983 from King’s College London. She practiced physiotherapy in a variety of patient care settings in the National Health Service before moving in 1989 to Boston Massachusetts where she worked at Massachusetts General Hospital. After a brief return to England, Jo and her family settled in Charlottesville in 1994. Jo has worked at UVA Medical Center and also in long term care in Charlottesville. She gained her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2008 from Shenandoah University and was certified as a Geriatric Clinical Specialist by the American Board of Physical Therapy in 2009.
Jo is passionate about the care of the elderly; she continues to practice as a physical therapist and is thrilled to be able to combine her clinical knowledge and passion in a unique program that will serve the elderly population in this area.
