Kristina WeaverTV SHOW. 11.21.2013. Exploring Our Inner Selves. Kristina Weaver, Ph.D., discovered Insight meditation in 2003 and began teaching in 2012. A writer, geographer, and community organizer, Kristina is passionate about how meditation can help change systems as well as promote greater happiness at the individual and relational levels. In her capacity on the Insight Meditation Community of Charlottesville (IMCC) Board of Directors, Kristina has helped to initiate efforts that bring meditation practice to bear on issues of social justice. Together with other MTTI graduates and senior IMCC teachers, she is now working to expand and deepen access to the Dharma in central Virginia. Kristina is a Marshall Scholar and graduate of Yale, Cambridge, and Glasgow Universities, but her most important teacher has been her young daughter: a joyful being who extends ample invitations every day to open the heart and dwell in the present. Having traveled the world, Kristina is now settling down in Charlottesville, Va.
