Mary Cunningham best TV SHOW GUEST 02.03.2014 MAINTAINING AND SUSTAINING A HEALTHY RELATIONSHIP Mary Cunningham is the GRASP advisor at Fort Defiance High School, Riverheads High School, and Stuarts Draft High School. GRASP is a 501(c) (3) non-profit, charitable, college-access organization that assists students and families obtain funding for post-secondary education.
Mary earned an Associate’s degree in medical laboratory technology from Community College; ten years later, she graduated from the Wharton School of Business of the University of Pennsylvania. She went on to earn a M.S. in training and development from St. Joseph’s University. Mary’s professional career spans over 20 years in a variety of fields, including healthcare, pharmaceutical development, financial services and adult education, training and development. Mary has long been an advocate and mentor for the young people and students of Nelson County.
Mary served on the Nelson County School Board from 2010 – 2014. In 2012, she was elected to the Virginia School Board Association Board of Directors and represented Virginia ‘s Central Region as Chairman. She is the mother of two graduates of Nelson County High School, her son now attends University of Mary Washington, and thanks to FAFSA and the College Board Profile, her daughter attends Smith College.
