Myra Anderson is a woman on a mission! She majored in social work at Virginia Commonwealth University and is currently employed in the human services field. Myra is a graduate of the Consumer Empowerment Leadership Training Academy. She also graduated with the first class of Certified Peer Support Specialist’s in the State of Virginia in 2008.
Myra is a writer and a poet. Her story was featured in the book “Firewalkers” in 2009. She has also been in the EBook “The Audacity of Humanity in 2010. Myra’s life story has also been featured in Richmond Magazine. Her poetry has been published in the national newsletter “Many Voices” as well as locally. When she’s not working, Myra volunteers with several non-profits. Myra is in the process of self-publishing her first book due out in fall 2014. In her spare time she enjoys reading, writing poetry, and line dancing.
